Over several years, Flat Panel Loudspeaker Technology has advanced to the point where newly developed compact, second generation, high power transducers can produce significant sound pressure levels with a full-spectrum frequency response.

The MicroPRO, when compared with pistonic drive units, delivers an exceptionally even level of coverage within a room or venue, this is due to the low rate at which the apparent loudness of a flat panel loudspeaker drops-off with distance. A further beneficial effect of DML (Distributed Mode Loudspeaker) is that beaming is eliminated, and adverse room-effects are thereby substantially reduced. In many cases, just by using flat-panel loudspeakers in support of conventional massive pistonic systems, the acoustic responses of even the largest and most challenging venues can be dramatically improved.

At 20 watts and the size of an A4 sheet of paper, the MicroPRO excels at clear reproduction of any program with content above 200Hz. Due to their surprising dispersion characteristics, this novel product will fill unusually large areas with clean and clear non-directional sound, whilst the flat construction allows them to be used in visually sensitive situations.

MicroPRO:DUO
The MicroPro Duo offers a clear, full range sound from a surprisingly small unit. By utilizing the thin dimensions of our popular MicroPro speakers, SLR have created a double-sided “back to back” unit around the size and shape of the average A4 book. When affixed to the wall through the “spine”* the Duo excels at producing clear, equal sound from both sides of the enclosure thus covering a large area with exceptional, non-directional sound. The Duo’s amazing ability to emit clear reproductions of any program above 200Hz, combined with its unique double sided design allow the dispersion of sound to be much greater than that of a standard speaker enclosure. This makes it ideal for public address systems or background music. Housed in a smart, metallic casing that is designed to fit subtly into any environment the Duo offers fantastic sound for use in a multitude of environments.
