There are many advantages of Flat Panel Loudspeakers over conventional designs, their flat configuration allows sound to be dispersed from the entire surface of the panel as opposed to just the centre. This translates into omni-directional performance characteristics which spread out evenly across the entire listening environment and not just directly underneath the loudspeaker source.
The MiniPro, weighing less than 4 kilograms, can deliver an astonishing 114dB peak output, whilst handling 80 watts (AES). A generous operating range of 60 Hz right up to 21KHz makes this unit suitable for almost any type of program.
The installation market sector can make good use of these excellent sounding speakers, both indoors and outdoors, hanging from the ceiling or positioned close to, but not against, a wall, the added option of being able to attach graphics to the face of the loudspeaker can advertise products or supply key information.
Originally designed for the mobile small band/group, Karaoke or DJ market, the MiniPro is equally at home placed on a stand to supply PA to the conference and seminar venues in hotels or civic buildings, filling the entire room with ‘even’ sound so that every word is heard in every corner of the room.
This lightweight flat Panel Speaker is easy to transport (padded bags for travel protection are available) and they are easy to carry into those awkward venues at the top of a flight of stairs!
MiniPRO250
The MiniPRO250 integrates an amplifier designed and tuned specifically to match the characteristics of a flat panel loudspeaker. Two mono/stereo channels, each supplying 65 watts (rms) supply enough power for the MiniPro to generate 89dB of measured sound at 1 watt/1metre and a maximum continuous output rating of 108dB.
Independent three band EQ (bass, mid and high) is available for both music and microphone with the added facility of being able to lock the EQ settings of both music and mic., further adjustment of the controls will have no effect until the Dip Switches are turned to the OFF position. This can ensure that the same quality of sound is maintained throughout the performance.
An XLR/jack combination socket supplies the input connection of the microphone, two RCA phono connectors or a stereo 6.35mm jack socket, supply the input connections for music. The second speakon socket connection is, as previously mentioned, available for use with a sub woofer or, can be attached directly to a low impedance MiniPro Loudspeaker.
The MiniPro250 is an ideal lightweight (6 kilograms) ‘live’ loudspeaker system, especially suitable for PA to the conference and seminar venues in civic buildings, hotels or fitness centres (less reflection, better sound quality) filling the entire room with ‘even’ sound so that every word can be clearly heard in every corner of the room.
The SL MiniProSub is a 1 x 125 watt (rms) subwoofer available from Sound Leisure, if a sub woofer is required to complete the system. The second channel, speaker output, can be utilised to power the subwoofer and a second, low impedance MiniPro loudspeaker can then be attached to the sub woofer speaker output socket.
