The On Screen Display (OSD) Unit allows text messages to be displayed on any composite input video screen. Six pages are available, each having a maximum of 288 characters organised as 12 lines x 24 characters per line. Each page has a 24 hour timer associated with it, plus three additional functions as follows :-
Overlay : This superimposes text onto video.
Blink: This causes the text to blink at a rate of one second intervals.
Scroll: This option scrolls the text message across the screen.
Eight coloured screen back grounds are selectable when displaying a ‘still’ text. Any message, whether in still or scrolled mode can be switched to blink if required. The unit is simple to program using any standard ps2 keyboard, additionally an optional wireless keyboard can be supplied with the unit making it even easier to update any text you are displaying.
