SOUND LEISURE TODAY

Sound Leisure is a fully self contained Design, Research and Development and Manufacturing company, something we pride ourselves on greatly. We employ a wide range of highly skilled people, ranging from engineers, cabinet makers and computer programmers. The following is a brief description of the departments within the Sound Leisure organisation:

Research and Development
R&D is responsible for transferring design concepts into reliable high quality profitable products. As well as extending the Sound Leisure product range, R&D have completed many developments for external companies, resulting in products as diverse as air extraction cabinets and rodeo bull control stations.

In many situations developments will utilise the skills of Sound Leisure’s other internal resources, such as Electronic and mechanical Engineering, software and hardware development and cabinet design and manufacture. Our wide range of skills and experience ensure we remain unique as a one stop shop for product design, development and manufacture.

Manufacturing
Our recent relocation extended our manufacturing capacity to 60,000sq ft. Sub divisions within manufacturing include:

Cabinet Shop
Extensive woodwork machining facilities and a wealth of talent and experience ensure our jukebox products continue to be regarded as the highest quality products available. We remain the only jukebox company in the world still manufacturing a ‘one piece’ cabinet for our range of nostalgia products
(go to www.classicjukeboxes.co.uk) due to the complexities and skill required. The one piece cabinet however benefits from huge strength and structural integrity, and just as importantly it’s the way the original products we’re made.
It’s just one example of Sound Leisure’s commitment to going the extra mile to provide the customer with the best experience possible from a Sound Leisure product.

Metal Work
Extensive facilities allow Sound Leisure to machine and finish the majority of components used in our products in house, giving us greater control over the supply and quality of them. Additionally maintaining this facility in house adds another valuable resource to the R&D department.

Spay Shop
Extended during the relocation to our new premises the addition of a new spray shop allows Sound Leisure to control the quality and final finish of a vital process in the production process.

CD Tech and DigiTech
Provides technical assistance to customers and owners of the 50,000 plus Sound Leisure machine’s in the world wide market. Available via phone and email they are dedicated to resolving on site problems quickly and efficiently.

Software and Hardware
Based in Nottingham, England the software and hardware division is responsible for the design and manufacture of all Sound Leisure’s software, and the platforms on which they run.
In conjunction with the R&D department they have undertaken external work for many distinguished clients including BBC, National museum of Wales, Arcadia, Scream etc.

Additionally our Nottingham site is the location from which all the PCB components are manufactured. This includes the manufacture of boards used in our Amplifiers, video amplifiers, control boards and PC’s etc.
